Protective role of <i>Spirulina platensis</i> liquid extract against salinity stress effects on <i>Triticum aestivum</i> L.

Abstract Salt stress is one of the most serious factors that influence plant growth and yield. The extensive use chemical fertilizers caused an increase in land contamination hence effects on human health. biofertilizers can solve these problems. In present work, different concentrations Spirulina platensis liquid extracts (SLEs; 1%, 2%, 4%) were used to enhance seeds germination, seedling growth, length radical, number leaves, height T. aestivum L. S. extract (SLE) 2% was chosen test against salt with 10% 25% seawater watered. parameters such as shoot, root, length, fresh, dry weight, leaf width, number, area estimate SLE by seawater. Also carbohydrate, protein, phenol, total antioxidant contents measured treated combination watered alone. results denote best concentration SLEs which promoted germination comparison control other concentrations. (2%) enhanced carbohydrates, phenol contents, L., seawaters (SW10% SW25%) SW be biofertilizer phytochemical make tolerance salinity.
